The intent of this RFP is to seek out a vendor to paint portions of retired Raleigh Police vehicles that are to be later sold at auction. Only the portions of the vehicles that are blue (see photos below) shall be painted white. This white color does not need to match the white that is on the vehicle. The vehicles to be painted shall be in different styles, makes, and models. Emphasis will be placed on the cost of painting services. The contractor must have the facilities and staff to perform this painting service on approximately 50 vehicles per year. The contractor will provide a pricing structure for a five-year period that lists the cost per vehicle for midsize SUVs (ex. Ford Explorer), full-size pickup trucks (ex. Chevrolet Silverado, Ford F-Series), and full-size SUVs (ex. Chevrolet Tahoe).
