Provide and maintain living flowers and plants to the Raleigh Convention and Performing Arts Complex. The Martin Marietta Performing Arts Center (MMPAC) is located at 2 E South St. The Raleigh Convention Center is located at 500 S Salisbury St Raleigh, NC 27601. The Convention and Performing Arts Complex is seeking a qualified firm to provide rental of plants and containers for interior. The selected firm will provide all service necessary to maintain the health and appearance of the plants, including watering, fertilizing, pruning, trimming, insect and disease treatment, cleaning, dusting and if necessary, replacement. The purpose of the project is to create beautiful spaces to capitalize on the physical and mental health benefits associated with interior landscaping. The addition of interior plants is intended to enhance the indoor air quality by removing toxins and filtering air. Additionally, it has been proven that plants reduce stress and background noises while increasing productivity and happiness in employees. 4.1 Plant and Container Listing The plant inventory is open to negotiation with the selected firm. However, for the purpose of comparison, Proposers will bid on the project using our current inventory, which will be provided at the pre-proposal conference. Please see Example Inventory List as Appendix VII attached hereto. This list may have been updated since its origination and should not be considered an accurate depiction of the current inventory, merely an example for frame of reference. 4.2 Program 4.2.1 Maintenance – provide all service necessary to maintain the health and appearance of the plants including watering, fertilizing, pruning, trimming, insect and disease treatment, cleaning, dusting. 4.2.2 Replacement – remove plants and flowers that are underperforming, limp or have irregular growths. Replace non-flowering flowers and unhealthy plants before necessary. It is allowable for plants to be switched or substituted throughout the year as changes in environment may deem it suitable, if a recommendation made by the Proposer is approved by RCPAC Management, or at the request of RCPAC Management. 4.2.3 Contractor will provide pots for the plants.
