Task 1 In-Office Research. A. Using the best available data, review records using tap cards, well abandonment records, tax listing records, deed/plat research, etc., vetting approximately 4,000 services to determine potential for lead components in the previous in-service portion of the lateral left after well abandonment. a. Provides guidance and overall approach to which/where resources should be concentrated. Task 2 Field Survey Excavation. A. Approximately 825 samples to be completed with manual and hydro excavation operations at each existing service and a percentage sampling of approximately 4,000 services within the existing systems to confirm materials installed on the “private” side of the service as desired and directed by Owner. a. Provides further confirmation and direction as to where efforts can be focused in long term replacement scope project. Task 3 Data Collection and Management A. Data will be collected and used to update the existing lead service line inventory to distribute to County and to be submitted to DWI. The existing GIS base map will be updated with locations of all documented discoveries and updated information for services. Coordinate with County to provide any required public notification.
