Task 1-SCHEMATIC/DESIGN DEVELOPMENT PHASE 1. Participate in a project start up meeting with all parties involved to discuss the project goals, and schedule. 2. Perform on-site development services. • Visual examination of existing conditions. • Examination of interior conditions. • Physical measurements. • Test cuts by qualified contractors under engineer’s direction to develop roof replacement details. Perform insulation fastener pull-out resistance tests or adhesive tests to determine roof deck integrity and insulation fastener type. Conduct roof slope survey to determine tapered insulation layouts for positive drainage. • Samples should be tested for hazardous materials. 3. Perform in-house design development services as follows: • Review on-site development results from above task. • Review of the North Carolina State Building, Plumbing and Energy Codes. Task 2-PREPARE CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS • Prepare and submit Construction documents for review. Create drawings required to show complete scope of work including plans and details. • Provide an in-house estimate and final project estimate prepared by a professional estimator with 100%CDs. • Prepare building permit documents. • Provide a complete set of Drawings and Specifications “For Construction” to include any and all addenda generated during bidding phase. • Drawings and Specifications to be sealed by a NC Licensed Engineer. Task 3-BIDDING ASSISTANCE Assist the County with the bidding process to include but not limited to; • Provide advertisement and or invitation to meet the County’s Minority Business Participation Program. • Prepare for and Lead Pre-bid Meeting. • Respond to Bidder questions. • Evaluate bids and bidders and make recommendations of award for staff in writing.
