The Town of Wendell is seeking an experienced consultant to provide design recommendations that will improve pedestrian, bicycle and golf cart facilities, as well as enhance safety through traffic calming measures, on three Town corridors: Big Falls Drive, Taylor Road, and Hollybrook Road. The Town is requesting conceptual designs for approximately 5 total miles across these corridors. The Town of Wendell’s Planning Department is leading this project. The Town of Wendell is a rapidly growing municipality located along I-87 and US 64 in Wake County and is approximately 15 miles east of Raleigh. As the town transitions to accommodate this growth, the need to provide safe roadways and alternative transportation options is apparent.
