Evaluate multiple scenarios on the site and ultimately select a single strategy to proceed with into full design. This would include studying bed count capacities, massing options, potential cost models, and other variables for each scenario. • Evaluate opportunities around high-performance building and site design and develop life cycle cost information. Sustainable Carolina’s 2024 Climate Action Plan will serve as the guiding document. • Provide full programming for the project. • Develop criteria for the building program based on current and future needs around student housing, including health and wellness. • Explore opportunities and constraints of construction delivery method and provide a recommendation, including but not limited to Design-Bid-Build and Construction Manager at Risk. • Prepare costs and schedules for the design project based on which delivery method is chosen. • Prepare a final Advance Planning Report in line with the requirements of the SCO Manual and UNC-CH Design Guidelines • Assist in coordination between Carolina Housing and Facilities Planning & Design and other University stakeholders such as Energy Services, Transportation and Parking, Environmental Health and Safety, and other stakeholders.
