Specifications include, but are not limited to: The North Carolina Zoo is lacking security throughout the Park. Perimeter gates, building entry points, ticketing areas and animal exhibits need security access controls to keep people that are not Zoo Staff out of these areas. Most of the buildings also need a way to control systems remotely in order to reduce down time for equipment and increase the efficiency of operations. At all times animal and plant collections are sensitive to temperature, lighting and humidity levels. A secure perimeter fence and gate system to contain Zoo animals especially animals classified as dangerous is required for Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) Accreditation. This project involves providing security at the following perimeter gates: Gate 1 - Needs security cameras at the main perimeter gate, Gate 5 - Needs security cameras at the gate behind the gift shops in Africa, Gate 16 - Needs security cameras at the main perimeter gate, Gate 4B - Needs security cameras at the main perimeter gate
