The Town of Pittsboro is seeking qualified firms to provide a range of on-call engineering services to assist and supplement Town staff in handling a high volume of engineering projects. The selected firm(s) will be required to collaborate closely with Town Staff and Private Developers. The selected firms must understand the Town of Pittsboro ordinances and standards, design elements related to specific developments within the Town, and other applicable regulations. Consistent communication with town staff and periodic presentations will be required from the selected firms. Firms may submit qualifications for any or all of the following categories: 1. General Consulting: Provide expert advice on various engineering matters related to both public and private development. 2. Construction Inspections: Conduct inspections for compliance with relevant standards and regulations. 3. Development Project Review: Review and assess proposed projects for alignment with town standards and goals, to include review ofsurvey reports,site maps, preliminary and construction drawings, engineering calculations, blueprints, transportation and environmental impact analysis, utility models, hydraulic systems, etc. 4. Roadway/Transportation Design: Prepare Roadway and Sidewalk Plans, Traffic Signal Studies, Traffic Signal Plans, Review Traffic Models and TIAs. 5. Stormwater Planning & Design: Prepare drainage and flood control plans, stream restoration plans, and NPDES MS4 Compliance Support.
