Specifications include, but are not limited to: The NC Department of Public Education is soliciting for engineering services for a Campus-Wide Security System located at the NC School for the Deaf, Morganton, NC. The project addresses the need for two-way communication between staff/administration and staff/students/parents and visitors in the academic and residential program and on campus, including: Visual alert systems for adequate daily and emergency management communication; an integrated internal security system with digital video surveillance with access control, alarm monitoring, intrusion detection, and visitor management, includes ID card keyless access control for staff and students; seamless entry into buildings for students on a daily basis and in emergencies; external visual alert systems on campus; outdoor remote emergency stations for notification to Broughton police/public safety/school personnel for immediate response and outdoor visual notification of campus conditions/lockdowns; and required software to manage the system.
