1. Provide the following services for proper transportation and disposal of Regulated Medical Waste UN3291 a. Schedule pick up and loading of the Regulated Medical Waste generated by customer following service frequency as determined by the State. b. Transport the Regulated Medical Waste to an approved permitted disposal facility c. Provide appropriate containers, manifests, and labels to transport Biomedical Waste as listed below. State will ensure that only Regulated Medical Waste is placed in proper containers and shall not place any other materials in those containers to include waste such as: radioisotopes, nuclear medical fluids, research productive toxins, free liquids, heavy metals, bulk chemicals or reagents, volatiles, explosives, pressurized containers regardless of content, or propellant whether full or empty. Sharps will be packaged in puncture-resistant inner packaging with the lid secured. 2. Changes in equipment, service schedule, or anything related to the performance of vendor at service location, shall be approved by the NCEM contract administrator, prior to the change becoming effective. Vendors are cautioned that no service location may make a change in equipment and/or service related to the performance of this contract without the necessary prior approval from NCEM. 3. Vendor employees shall be licensed and insured and in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to the transportation and safe handling of refuse.
