The selected consultant will perform services outlined below: Survey — Including all plat research, existing easement documentation, easement deed and plat development and recordation. Easement Appraisal and Negotiation — Third-party assessment of easement value, third-party easement negotiation with property owners (this task is only as authorized). Geotechnical — Rock bores and soils analysis. The town will likely bid all work as unclassified excavation. The geotechnical reports provided will be included in the bid documents to enable an unclassified excavation bid. Subsurface Utility Exploration — In support of the preparation of bid documents. Environmental Scoping and Documentation — Any work in or adjacent to a stream or wetland and near or in a 100-year floodplain. There are potential archeological and historical sites of significance, potential wetlands and stream buffers near the site as well. The selected firm will assist in scoping and consider solutions to mitigate or avoid such environmental matters. Additional documents supporting various approvals may need preparation. Preliminary Alignment Technical Memo — Summarizing available water and sewer alignment options, including necessary easements, environmental conflicts, permitting needs, schedule impacts, and cost estimates. This memo may not be requested for each project. Preliminary Technical Design Memo — Of any pump station upgrades required by the abandonments referenced above. This would include system head curves, cycle times, and downstream analysis. Design — 50%, 90%, permit and bid sets.
