Carteret Community College is seeking qualified mechanical contractors and engineers to design and install a 30-ton Trane air-Cooled chiller with corrosion coating in the Martec building. The system that is in this building now will need to be converted from a DX system to chilled water. There will need to be new aqua-therm piping installed, insulation, air handler coil, VFD drive, relief damper, outside air damper, pump, bladder tank, and make-up water design. The contractor will need to pull all permits in a testing/balance report done. There will be electrical upgrades involved. The building will stay running and occupied at all times and must use existing system until a new chiller arrives. One firm will be selected for the entire project.
