Union County Public Schools is soliciting bids for a new generator at Marshville Elementary School. Contractor is to provide all labor, equipment, materials, permits, fees, inspections, etc. to provide a turn-key project. Permits and Inspections shall be provided to Daniel Larres/UCPS Project Coordinator. Contractor shall comply with all current local, state, and national codes and regulations. This includes, but not limited to, complying with all ADA requirements. In the event of a conflict between the Scope of Work and code regulations, the Contractor shall notify the assigned UCPS Project Manager for direction. Contractors shall be properly licensed within the state of North Carolina to complete work identified within the bid documents, have successfully completed projects of this type and size for a minimum of 5 years, and be able to provide references within 24 hours of request. Contractor shall provide and install a new generator that meet or exceeds manufacture's specifications of existing unit. Contractor to make necessary modifications and/or replacement of existing pad meeting generator manufacturer recommendations. Contractor is responsible for providing and installing new electrical wiring, properly sized for the system, in existing underground conduit from generator to designated electrical panel (approximately 60'-0"). If Contractor deems existing conduit to be in non-reusable condition, Contractor shall contact UCPS Project Manager for direction. Contractor shall replace approximately 5'-0" of damaged plumbing line located near the connection point. If Contractor deems existing plumbing line to be in non-reusable condition, Contractor shall contact UCPS Project Manager for direction. Contractor is responsible for factory startup with Owner on site. Contractor shall provide a findings report of the startup to the Owner. It is the responsibility of the Contractor to have the new generator system fully functional at the end of project.
