Specifications include, but are not limited to: The North Carolina Department of Revenue (DOR) is seeking a qualified Vendor to furnish, deliver, install and lease a ‘turn-key’ Electronic Access Control System, to include card readers and access points for fourteen (14) of our locations. DOR is responsible for administering the State tax laws enacted by the North Carolina General Assembly. In addition to its headquarters office located in Raleigh, NC, the Agency operates thirteen (13) service centers and one (1) warehouse across the State that provide customer service to citizens on a variety of tax issues, and employs staff in seventeen (17) states to audit out-of-state residents and entities that have a NC tax liability. The Agency administers twenty-five (25) tax types and handles over three million taxpayer interactions each year. In fiscal year 2017, the Agency collected $30.2 billion in gross revenue, processed 12 million tax returns, and issued 2.8 million refunds totaling more than $2.3 billion.
