Specifications include, but are not limited to: This Custodian is an employee of the cleaning contractor. It will be the Contractor’s responsibility to see that the position is filled each and every day. As with all other employees, they must remain current in their training for handling bio-hazardous waste and be dependable and responsible in their duties. 1. Must be on duty Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with one hour for lunch (or as directed by Health Department Director), except holidays observed by the Health Department. Any changes in schedule need to be approved by Building Manager. Absence due to inclement weather is not acceptable. 2. Replace burned out lights as needed that can be safely reached from an 8-foot stepladder. Call Facility Services when you can’t replace same. 3. Take flags down or adjust as requested by Facility Services. 4. Clean up spills, vomitus, etc., in offices, restrooms, waiting areas, and other areas as needed. 5. If possible, fix leaky faucets and toilets from running and unstop water cooler and keep all drains open. Notify Building Manager if assistance is needed from Facility Services. 6. Spot-clean carpet as needed. 7. Replace ceiling tiles as needed due to watermarks or cracking. 8. Put out ice-melt and clear sidewalks of snow and ice. (Assisted by Facility Services) 9. Work closely and maintain open communication with Building Manager. Perform any other tasks within the scope of the contract or requested by Building Manager. Report any potential problems.
