Gaston County Department of Health and Human Services – Social Services Division is seeking quotes from qualified firms to provide Interpreting and written translation services during normal business hours, after-hours, and weekends. Quotes may include some or all of the following service components: Spec #1: American Sign Language; Spec #2: Foreign Language; Telephone Interpretation/Translation; On-Site Interpretation/Translation; In-Home Interpretation/Translation; Written Translation/Interpretation of Documents; Video Translation/Interpretation; Independent ASL interpreting contractors must possess and maintain a valid NC Interpreter/Transliterator License. Agency ASL interpreting Contractors must provide interpreters who possess and maintain valid NC Interpreter/Transliterator Licenses. Both independent and agency ASL interpreting contractors are expected to follow and uphold the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf “Code of Professional Conduct”. No consideration will be given to provisionally licensed interpreters!
