The University is seeking proposals for consultants in all areas of Human Resources to work with the Division of Human Resources on a range of human resource issues. The University comprises 17 constituent institutions as well as a number of affiliated enterprises. There are approximately 50,000 permanent employees who work for the University of North Carolina (including employees at the 17 campuses and UNC System Office but excluding employees of UNC Health Care System). The University is a state institution, and as such is subject to many statutes regarding employment, compensation, retirement and other benefits for state employees. The constituent institutions of the University are located in every region of the state. The settings vary significantly. Some constituent institutions are in growing major metropolitan areas. Some form the nucleus of the state’s growing high-tech industry. Other campuses are in rural areas and are a major employer and an economic force in the community. The University further seeks proposals from qualified vendors to help define institutional messaging for the University and how best to design our human resources and benefits communications. The communication strategy and materials must provide a university branded strategy with a captivating blend of written communications and technology. The goal is to create the best possible user experience for all constituencies served by UNC.
