3.1 Install DR-18 rated piping using horizontal directional drilling methods according to the specified length and size above at each location. 3.2 Install approximately two (2) joints of DR-18 piping by open cut methods at each end of the directional drill, fittings, and bends necessary for a complete tie-in connection to existing waterline piping. The existing valves at each end of the directional drill shall be restrained by thrust block or other approved method. 3.3 Perform pressure test, chlorinate and perform BAC-T Test. Ensure required NC Division of Environmental and Brunswick County standards for chlorination and bacteriological testing have been met. Work will not be considered complete until passing bacteriological tests have been received. 3.4 Establish traffic control during the performance of the work, ensuring measures are in place for safety and all compliance requirements. 3.5 The contractor shall endeavor to not disturb the existing roadway. Any disturbance shall be restored as required to meet NCDOT requirements. 3.6 The contractor shall seed and mulch site to NCDOT standard specifications and shall establish sufficient vegetation to stabilize the disturbed areas. 3.7 The work includes the cost of all mobilization, overhead, insurance, clean up, and all ancillaries necessary for a complete service. 3.8 No debris will be left at the site. 3.9 All materials, restoration, and debris disposal costs must be included in the submitted bid. 3.10 All necessary permits for the work are the responsibility of the contractor. 3.11 The selected contractor shall attend a meeting at a mutually agreeable time, but within two (2) weeks of notification, with the owner to determine setup, staging area, storage, and appropriate work hours prior to commencing services under the awarded contract. The contractor to submit a forecasted timeline of work and anticipated completion date.
