Contractors to collect, manage, and dispose of NC State-generated chemical and hazardous waste, including fluorescent lamps and other universal wastes, to collect and manage low-level radioactive waste, and to collect and manage non-infectious biological waste located at NC State properties. Chemical waste management services must be conducted in accordance with NC State’s hazardous waste permit and established programs. Radioactive waste management services must be conducted in accordance with NC State’s radioactive materials licenses and programs. Biological waste management services must be conducted in accordance with NC State’s Biological Safety Manual and program. The awarded contractor must have facilities, or access to facilities, and the ability to transport, dispose of, treat, and otherwise manage hazardous, radioactive, non-infectious biological, and universal waste material in a lawful manner. The awarded contractor will provide a full range of waste management services including, but not necessarily limited to: ● Collection ● Packaging ● Consolidation ● Transportation ● Disposal
