This project calls for the purchase and installation of a new 80 KW, 1-phase, 240V, diesel generator and a 400 amp, 1-phase, 240V Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS). The new generator will be installed on a new concrete pad (see photos in attachment L). The installation will require new wiring from the generator location to the existing building’s main electrical panel. The generator will provide backup power to the community center at the above address. During an emergency this building will be used as a shelter for mass care as well as a point of distribution. The new generator will allow this facility to provide uninterrupted service during and after severe weather events.
