• Lock out tag out equipment as needed to provide a safe work environment. A County representative will provide locations in order to perform this task. The contractor is responsible to verify that all systems locked out and tagged out, including but not limited to, electrical, mechanical, chemical, gas, pneumatic, and inertial are safe to work on. The contractor will provide LOTO devices to perform task, the County will not provide any devices for this task. Once systems are locked out, verify that systems are safe before proceeding • The contractor will provide a turnkey system ready for immediate use. • All lifting and means of movement, including but not limited to, cranes, rigging, gantries, shall be the responsibility of the contractor to provide and perform. • All lifts will need to be coordinated with the facility and the County representative prior to lift. A Minimum of one weeks’ notice will be given to coordinate. • A lift plan shall be required prior to crane lifts. This plan will be submitted to Risk Management for approval. • Protect all building surfaces from damage. Any damage and all costs associated with repairs to damaged surfaces will be the contractor’s responsibility to pay. • It is the responsibility of the Contractor to disconnect, isolate and make safe existing units for removal/demolition, including but not limited to mechanical, HVAC, electrical, controls or ancillary systems connected to the units being replaced. Means of isolation will meet current industry standards and codes. • The contractor will demo, remove, and dispose of existing air handling units, condensers, and associated parts needed to install new air handling units and condensers. Disposal will meet current industry and environmental standards. • Removal of existing units and installation of new units will be coordinated with a County representative and the Sheriff’s department due to the locations of the units. • All cutting and patching will be the responsibility of the contractor to perform. • It may be necessary to remove or modify parts of the building structure to accommodate the removal of existing units and installation of new units. This can/may include, but is not limited to, removal or modification of walls, electrical, HVAC, fire alarm, ceilings, lighting fixtures etc. • Modifications in order to provide access will be completed by a contractor(s)/firm(s) certified/licensed in these disciplines. It is the contractor’s responsibility to oversee the modification or removal in order to provide access. • Any modifications, structural or otherwise will need to be designed and approved by a firm(s) or engineer(s) certified/licensed in the disciplines associated with the modifications. • Any and all modifications to the facility in order to provide access will be repaired or replaced. Installation/replacement or repairs of modifications will meet current industry standards and codes. Installations will be designed and approved by firm (s) licensed and certified in these disciplines. Installations/repairs will match existing as closely as possible.
