Johnston Community College (JCC) is soliciting responses from experienced and qualified engineering teams to provide design and construction management services for the campus-wide evaluation and improvement of HVAC Building Automation Systems (BAS) and related mechanical components to improve integration, system performance, and reliability across campus. JCC’s main campus is comprised of 12 buildings encompassing nearly 437,000 square feet, featuring a variety of modern and legacy BAS platforms. The primary goals are to: 1) Evaluate and provide cost estimates for replacement of existing legacy control systems at four buildings to a Tridium based platform with BACnet based controllers. 2) Evaluate and provide cost estimates for failing/end of life mechanical equipment across campus. 3) Provide construction documents. 4) Oversee the bidding and construction of improvements. The selected design team will coordinate with JCC’s BAS Advocate to adhere to and provide support on an in-progress BAS Master Plan.
