The City of Greensboro Transit Department needs a contractor to install HDMI cables at the J. Douglas Galyon Depot Transportation Center. The cables will connect the GTA Customer Waiting Room, Customer Service Office, and Bus Slip areas to the server room, where they will be connected to a PC, from which we will run our information display program. It will connect to nine (9) individual television monitors in six (6) locations to display the same content feed. The maximum distance between the locations and the server room is approximately 150 feet. Due to the distance, it’s believed the installation will require the use of HDMI amplifiers to ensure consistent connectivity to the PC to be located in the server room. Also, with several of the monitors in close proximity to each other, the use of HDMI signal splitters may be used. To offset redundancy and anticipate future needs, we are requesting dual lines to be installed. Please present a proposal that incorporates all of the hardware and labor required to ensure a robust, functioning connection between the PC and the nine (9) monitors. Photos of the project area are in the Attachment Section in GEPS.
