Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this RFP and any resulting contract award is to solicit proposals for complete and efficient unarmed, uniformed, security services including reasonable labor, equipment, vehicles and necessary supervision to insure that employees, visitors, facility, property, and parking areas of the required locations are properly protected.The Security Officer(s) shall establish order and safeguard employees, property, and clients while on agency premises. They shall be familiar with non-violent resolutions to conflict assist in emergency situations, identify conflicts, intervene courteously, defuse potential employee/client problems, and perform other security-related functions as required by the using agency. Buildings will be staffed with one or more Security Officers based on the size of the building or the shift.On a routine basis the Security Officer will conduct interior and exterior roving patrols, checking numerous critical areas (i.e., server rooms, communication centers, and high voltage mechanical rooms), break rooms, cafeterias, and the executive suites. All irregularities or suspicious activity will be reported immediately to supervisory personnel and documented in their daily activity reports.Immediately report potentially hazardous conditions and items in need of repair to the agency.A security receptionist (in business attire) located at the main entrance of the Highway Building, will administer a visitor badging process to include documentation via a computer data entry. In special cases the coordination of a security escort may be needed to facilitate entry into the building and to the appropriate office.One Security Officer or Sergeant will be assigned to the Security Center/Badge Administration Office and will be charged with access control functions to include badge making, requests for camera/DVR retrieval, and generating transaction/card reader reports.The loading dock requires a Security Officer focused on delivery vehicle control, as well as monitoring deliveries of supplies, bulk packages, and mail. Traffic control in the loading dock area is somewhat constrained, therefore, constant monitoring of the area via cameras is required to prevent accidents or an unsafe condition developing.One Security Officer will be assigned to the Equipment Depot, an equipment lay down site and refueling station. The Security Officer s main function will consist of random exterior roving patrols using a golf cart to safe guard approximately 20 acres of fenced in Headquarters building, workshops, equipment parking and warehouse structures
