Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1.1. Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment and horticultural supervision necessary to maintain the landscape/grounds for Rowan-Cabarrus Community College in an attractive condition throughout the year including, but not limited to: irrigation control and maintenance; weeding, cultivation, cleaning and mulching of planting beds and tree wells; pruning and trimming of trees, shrubs and ground covers; fertilizing general campus turf as well as shrubs; chemical application of fungicides on turf areas if needed, herbicides to be applied on sidewalks; trash and debris removal; plant inspection; accurate and timely reporting of services performed including the delivery of; daily clean up and removal of trash across the campus; adding seasonal color to specific areas; weed treatment of grass from curbs and street areas throughout the campus; walking trails shall be maintained free from weeds – edges shall be maintained and defined by use of non-selective herbicides; snow removal and ice control. 1.2. The Contractor shall render 52 weeks of Work per year and shall complete and maintain a weekly schedule of activities to be submitted at the beginning of each week and updated as needed to the Director of Facilities. Curb appeal during all seasons of operation shall be held in the highest regard with regard to school visitor, student, and faculty safety, cleanliness, and highly detailed standards. It shall be the Contractor’s responsibility to ensure the grounds are free from trash at all times. A separate detail crew shall be designated to police the grounds daily and remove accumulated debris including paper, windblown garbage, and landscaping debris including fallen limbs, sticks, etc. A dedicated team will be assigned to all campus property to keep pristine at all times of the year.
