Specifications include, but are not limited to: Qualified firms licensed in North Carolina to provide space programming/test fit and design services to the County for a future project for the Infrastructure and Asset Management Grounds Maintenance Division. The County is planning on a new Grounds Maintenance Division building at the same location it is currently located (4005 Stough Road, Concord, NC). The existing building is nearing it’s useful life and County staff would like to begin programming a new building and arriving at a schematic design that can be utilized to provide an Opinion Probable Cost of Construction for future capital budgeting purposes. The selected firm will, in consultation with County staff, as well as national, state and local standards, identify and evaluate the current space utilization for this division. This will be based on current staff as well as projected staff levels. The County expects the selected firm will evaluate the various units’ needs; utilities, security, storage, meeting space, parking, technology, logistics, and public interaction.
