The North Carolina Department of Transportation is requesting bids for permanent slope repairs along I-40 at Mile Marker 68 in McDowell County; The Contractor shall complete the required work of installing, maintaining, and removing the traffic control devices for lane closures and restoring traffic to the existing traffic pattern. In addition, the Contractor shall not close or narrow a lane of traffic on I-40 WB, detain and/or alter the traffic flow on or during holidays, holiday weekends, special events, or any other time when traffic is unusually heavy. Place incidental stone base on driveways, mailboxes, etc. immediately after paving and do not have the paving operations exceed stone base placement by more than one week without written permission of the Engineer.
