The selected provider will be responsible for providing the following services at the locations specified in Attachment A (list of schools and facilities): • Regular Garbage Collection: o Weekly/bi-weekly/monthly curbside or designated location pickup for general waste. o Appropriate containers and bins to be provided by the Wilkes County Solid Waste Department. o Proper disposal at Wilkes County Landfill and/or approved recycling facility. • Recycling Services: o Collection of recyclable materials including mixed paper, cardboard, plastics, aluminum and metal cans, etc. o Educational resources and guidance on what can and cannot be recycled. o Regular pickup schedule for garbage and recycling. • Emergency Services: o Provision of additional pickups for overflow, as needed, on an emergency basis. • Compliance: o The provider must comply with all relevant local, state, and federal waste management laws and regulations. o Proper reporting of recyclable materials diversion rates and other relevant data.
