Specifications include, but are not limited to:Grounds Maintenance Services: Mowing and trimming shall be maintained every fifteen (15) days (estimated depending on day of week, weather, and holidays). The final product should be locations that are neat and well groomed, with turf that is mowed and trimmed, curbs and walks edged, obstacles and structures neatly trimmed or sprayed around. Mowing shall be free of scalped areas. The turf height shall be maintained between three (3) and five (5) inches each month. This may increase due to weather, growing season, holidays, or special requests by City personnel. Turf shall not be mowed when the soil base is excessively wet so as to avoid rutting, but shall be mowed as soon as conditions permit mowing without damage. At locations containing sidewalks and planting strips, turf shall be mowed to the back of curb or edge of pavement. The City Project Manager reserves the right to increase or decrease the frequency of mowing and trimming as the need arises. Caution: Herbicides shall not be used to edge sidewalks or curbs in the place of mechanical edging. Removal & disposal of leaves, trash, weeds, tree limbs, and debris shall be maintained every fifteen (15) days and before each mowing cycle from all grassed areas to maintain a well-groomed appearance. Do not allow large accumulations of leaves to remain. All debris, including, but not limited to, garbage, litter, clothing, cardboard, glass, wire, metal, fallen limbs, and any other items deemed as such shall be removed from the site and legally disposed of by the Company. All grass clippings, leaves, fertilizers, debris, etc. shall be removed/blown from all paved areas immediately after mowing/application or at each visit.
