Specifications include, but are not limited to: This contract is for providing ten (10) fully operated, single-axle trucks (not to exceed over 26,001 GVW), with operators, equipped with Global Positioning System (GPS) with a monitoring software subscription, 10.0-ft. snowplow, and 5.0 cubic yard (minimum truck capacity) material spreader for snow and ice control activities in Mecklenburg County. The Contractor shall furnish equipment in good operating condition and operated by properly trained and qualified personnel. The personnel operating the equipment shall be employees of the Contractor and the Contractor shall be responsible for employees during the performance of the contract. The personnel shall be subject to the directions of the Department of Transportation. The Department of Transportation may refuse delivery or may return any equipment found to be defective and/or inadequately operated.
