The Contractor shall provide Flagging Services on an as-needed basis for NCDOT Maintenance Operations on primary and secondary routes in Columbus County; The Engineer will notify the Contractor when flagging services are needed. When notified, the Contractor, with a full complement of the required personnel and equipment, shall report to the appropriate location within the specified time frame. The Contractor shall arrive for work on the designated day, and have traffic control established in the roadway, by the time agreed upon when notified. The Contractor shall furnish two-way radios for use by the flagmen and/or the pilot vehicle in controlling traffic; and for NCDOT use to communicate with the Contractor. The Contractor shall maintain the radios and have them available on the job at all times.
