Inspection and Testing Requirements: 1. Perform an annual test on the fire alarm system, which includes: - Testing the control equipment (FACP, SNAC Power Extenders, Annunciators, etc.) and all of its functions - Testing the control equipment batteries (charge, load test, age) - Testing the supervising station equipment (dialer/communicator/DACT) - Testing 100% of Initiating devices (duct detectors, electromechanical releasing devices, fire extinguishing system and/or suppression system switches, fire-gas and/or flame detectors/systems, heat detectors, manual pull stations, smoke detectors, supervisory signal devices, waterflow and sprinkler valve tamper switches/devices) - Testing 100% alarm notification appliances - Testing all interfacing equipment and fire safety functions (releasing of fire doors and vertical shutters, smoke exhaust systems, fire dampers release/closure/activation, AHU shutdown, elevator recall) - Verify accuracy of zone/device maps. 2. Clean all smoke detectors and duct detectors (including air sampling tubes) 3. Perform a functional test on all vertical fire doors according to NFPA 80, Chapter 5. 4.
