A. Utilities • The utilities scope of work includes machinery, equipment, transportation, tools, materials, supplies and labor necessary to provide repairs to Dix Parks water distribution, wastewater collection, and stormwater collection systems immediately after a disaster or as needed by the City on an emergency basis. This scope includes possible work with water mains, sewer mains, storm sewer, main water service lines, sanitary sewer lateral, manholes, valves, vaults backflows, storm catch basin, etc. located on the exterior of any building within the Dix campus. • The contractor is experienced and proficient in all phases of the maintenance and repairs of water systems, including but not limited to: furnishing and installing various sizes of pipe for gravity sewer main and force main, water distribution lines and storm sewer mains, concrete structures for the wastewater and storm water systems, set up and monitoring of bypass pumping, dewatering systems, and restoration related to landscaping, asphalt, and concrete work as needed. • A North Carolina General Contractors License or specialty license will be required if the utility work performed under the contract meets the licensing requirements of North Carolina General Statue Chapter 87, Article 1. B. Plumbing • The plumbing scope of work includes machinery, equipment, transportation, tools, materials, supplies, and labor necessary to provide plumbing repairs to the Dix Park water distribution that exist from the main water supply to the building. The repairs will consist of all plumbing water supply to the exterior and interior of each building including waste and sewer drainage pipes within the building and out to the main line. All plumbing fixtures within the building including water closets, water heaters, faucets, plumbing valves (mixing, 2way 3way, cutoff, isolation), backflow, etc...
