Institutional FRESH Objectives ▪ Increase the knowledge and skills among staff regarding the importance and role of family in the reentry process in 14 designated reentry facilities ▪ Ensure that correctional policies and procedures align with best practices for facilitating parent/child visitations ▪ Create visitation spaces that facilitate positive parent/child interactions within 14 designated reentry facilities Individual FRESH Objectives ▪ Increase knowledge and skills around parenting through evidence-based programming ▪ Decrease childhood depression and conflict through evidence-based programming and/or other community service providers ▪ Increase parent/child bonding and communication through evidence-based programming, coaching sessions, and visitations ▪ Increase family functioning through evidence-based programming, coaching sessions, visitations, and family counseling ▪ Increase coping skills for adults and children through evidence-based programming ▪ Diversify support networks for the target population through family assessment and reassessment sessions ▪ Increase reentry readiness through the development of a transition plan and case management
