The City is soliciting qualifications from experienced engineering firms to perform a comprehensive study and develop design plans for the replacement of an existing high service pump at the North/Riverbend Booster Pump Station. The project will include the selection and installation of a new, higher-capacity pump, associated valves, updated electrical and VFD (variable frequency drive) systems, and integration with existing SCADA infrastructure. The project also includes the deconstruction and removal of the current pumping equipment and associated obsolete components. The City intends to replace the pump with a more efficient and higher-capacity unit, modernize the supporting systems, and improve remote monitoring and operational control through SCADA integration. This project will increase system reliability, improve energy efficiency, and support growing demand in the distribution system.
