The City would expect to set up individual task orders for environmental engineering activities requested by the City. The selected consultant will act as a technical and professional remedial advisor for the City; evaluate the selected individual site's remedial action plan development and approval while working with the NCDEQ to address concerns they identify and comments submitted by the public, preparation of remedial contractor bid documents, participate in the submission review and recommendations to the City staff and Council, and provide remedial oversight of the remediation, disposal, and site restoration. Prior to any task order work being performed, the parties will execute a written supplemental task order agreement, in accordance with a scope of work and any additional terms and conditions as agreed upon by the City and the Consultant. Each awarded task order may include: • Attend meetings with regulators as necessary and respond to requests for information. • Hold planning meetings during the development task order for new projects. • Provide technical support and quality control review of City work products as requested. • As requested, prepare monthly progress reports to the City on the remedial progress. Reports may include descriptions of completed activities, planned activities, budget status, schedule updates, and summary of any upcoming regulatory requirements or changes.
