SERVICES TO BE PROVIDED: a. Collection, Storage, and Transportation i. The City will provide a designated concrete pad for receiving, sorting, and storing E-Waste before contractor pick-up. This area is uncovered and exposed to weather conditions. ii. The contractor will transport all loaded materials to their designated facility, ensuring compliance with all legal and safety requirements. iii. The City has temporary storage space for approximately 25-30 pallet or Gaylord boxes. It would be preferable to the City and the contractor may propose providing a tractor-trailer for on-site storage and loading. b. Processing and Recycling i. The contractor must process, disassemble, reuse, and/or recycle all collected E-Waste following applicable laws and recognized industry standards (R2 or e-Stewards® ISO 9001:2015 certification). ii. Proper handling of materials, including segregation and securing for transport, is required. iii. The City prefers and encourages recycling and reuse over landfill disposal. c. Training and Compliance i. The contractor will provide annual training (at no cost) to City disposal staff on proper sorting and packaging procedures. ii.
