It is intended toencompass all the problem areas related to the use and preservation of information within the University, in all of itsforms. Basically, a more centralized, secure and controlled methodology of storage and archiving of the University spaper and electronic business documents.Document Imaging- means a software-based computer system that captures, tracks, stores in an organized fashionand reprints images of documents, including but not limited to paper, microfilm, microfiche and existing electronic files.It is considered to be a component of Enterprise Content Management.Hosted Solution- A hosted solution refers to one where the application, customer resource management (CRM) andenterprise resource planning (ERP) and the hardware that it runs on are provided as a turnkey solution by a third-partyapplication service provider. Hosting is a software deployment and subscription model in which an application resides7on a software provider s (third party) remote servers, rather than the customer s onsite servers. The application isdelivered via the Internet, and end users access it at their office or remotely.
