1. WCPSS will identify and offer employment to retired principals/applicants who demonstrate qualifications to serve as principal coaches. 2. Vendor shall orient coach on WCPSS Principal Coach model and coaching strategies. 3. WCPSS staff will identify novice principals, new-to-system principals, or designated experienced principals for coaching assignments. 4. WCPSS staff will Inform principals of coach assignment and his/her responsibility in the relationship. 5. WCPSS staff will schedule meetings between area superintendent and coach to provide context for assignment (i.e., school data, new school initiative, demographics, TWC, parent/student surveys, new curriculum programs or resources). 6. Coach will schedule initial meeting and develop timeline of support with principal. 7. Designee will schedule quarterly meetings of coaches to check in and to receive school or system updates or additional training as needed (Academic/Special Ed/Student Services Updates, District Initiatives, Policy, and SIP Updates). 8. Coach will check in with area superintendent as requested (i.e., new principals: once a month during first year, one quarterly during second year). 9. All participants will assess/reflect on the coach relationship and benefit to principal.
