Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose and intent of the Request for Proposals (RFP) is to solicit proposals from qualified Internet Service Providers qualified to deploy, operate, and maintain a fiber broadband internet network ensuring that the approximately 2600 underserved and unserved households in Durham County are served by affordable, high capacity, fiber broadband designed to provide minimum speeds of 25 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload to each household as a requirement of this RFP agreement. Minimum speeds of 25/3 Mbps is the requirement, solutions with speeds exceeding this will receive higher weights. Submittal does not guarantee that the Proposers will be contracted to perform any services, but only serves as notice of the Proposers’ desire to be considered. Durham County is not responsible for any costs incurred by a Proposer for the preparation of any materials required for responding to this RFP.
