The Contractor agrees to provide Driver Education to eligible enrolled students of the public school system of Craven County in accordance with the Driver Education program and curriculum plan adopted by CCS and the Contractor. Enrolled students, covered by this agreement, will be taught pursuant to the provisions of Motor Vehicle Laws of North Carolina, Article 14, Government Statues 20-322 through 20-324, consisting of thirty (30) hours of classroom education and six (6) hours of behind-the-wheel training. The Contractor will maintain for inspection a mileage log indicative of that instruction. The Contractor will be solely responsible for administering the NC DMV/DPI Driver Education Proficiency exam in accordance with State guidelines. Students who take the DMV/DPI proficiency test and complete it successfully are waived from the classroom instruction. These students must still take a minimum of six (6) hours of actual behind-the-wheel instruction. Contractor agrees to provide a separate reduced fee schedule for the students participating in the six (6) hours of behind-the-wheel instruction.
