Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this RFP is to obtain proposals for providing enhanced services within the Downtown Winston-Salem Business District. The service provider shall be responsible for implementation of the annual work plan approved by the Mayor and City Council. The current scope of services focuses on five primary areas: cleaner environment, increased safety and security, stronger marketing and promotion, accelerated development, and enhanced physical appearance. These services will require a strong knowledge in providing services within a downtown area, while understanding the needs for both commercial and residential stakeholders. Also required are a strong knowledge of local government practices, federal and state regulations, and physical limitations within the district.
