Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Initial meeting with County staff to review a project timeline, schedule meetings, and begin data acquisition. 2. Review all existing plans, maps, documents, data, and other materials relevant to the project. County staff will provide the consultant with all available documentation and GIS data. The consultant will study and consolidate applicable materials into the plan. 3. Plan and possibly conduct meetings with key elected and appointed officials. 4. Plan a targeted public outreach process using various methods to inform and involve stakeholders, citizen organizations, and the Hickory Nut Gorge residents. County staff is prepared to conduct the various public outreach activities to ensure the consultant can focus on data analysis and document creation. 5. Develop plan goals, objectives, and action steps based on technical data and public input with guidance from the Community Partners Group formed for this planning effort. 6. Draft materials for the county's review and comment in accordance with a schedule developed at the beginning of the planning process.
