In November 2023 the City’s Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) prepared conceptual design plans identifying improvements throughout the park. This concept plan is included as Appendix G, for background information, as well as Appendix H. This RFQ is to request qualifications from firms to design the below improvements for the WD Hill Recreation Center and Hillside Park Playground: • A new playground at Hillside Park including accessible elements and surface, shade structures, and inclusive features. • Full Depth Reclamation Renovation of upper (futsal) and lower athletic courts (tennis). • Seating and bleachers to support court programs. • Artistic safety wall along the front of the Recreation Center. • Pedestrian and vehicular access to connect residents and staff throughout the property. • Site amenities such as fencing, benches, and landscaping throughout. • Environment Assessment/Survey of both sites.
