Specifications include, but are not limited to: It is the City’s intent to obtain comprehensive information to make a decision about how to proceed technically and financially with the selection of a Data Center Colocation. At this time, the City has the following requirements: • The facility must be located in the greater Charlotte area; • Minimum Tier III Data Center Design; • 3,000 to 4,000 sq. ft. of contiguous space in one (1) suite with ability to separate a sub-section of approximately 800 to 1,000 sq. feet with dedicated access control; • Capable of 800 to 1000 KW of IT load; • Have approximately fifty (50) to seventy (70) Racks of equipment available for the City’s use; • Include a private staging and storage area availability; • A lease term for as few as five (5) or as many as (10) years; and • Twenty (20) Racks starting July 2015 for the City’s use.
