Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Tracking and responding to Durham One Call initiated requests and/or work orders within the MSD, and where appropriate reporting work items outside the contracted scope of services to the City; 2. Emptying public trashcans, including coordination with appropriate City departments to facilitate maintenance, replacement and/or reinstallation of damaged trashcans, dumpsters, recycling receptacles, rodent mitigation tools, etc.; 3. Removing litter, debris, graffiti, handbills, flyers, stickers, chewing gum, etc., from public infrastructure using chemical applications, power washing, painting, and/or other methods; 4. Performing limited mowing, weed control, landscaping and watering of public and/or quasi-public spaces and infrastructure on a project specific basis; 5. Cleaning, inspecting and painting streetscape fixtures and furniture as needed including benches, tables, etc.; 6. Performing minor soft-set brick sidewalk repairsthroughout the MSD, as well aslimited snow and ice removal at handicap cutouts at crosswalks; 7. Completing regular public relations checks-ins with downtown businesses; 8. Observing and reporting crime, safety concerns or unusual activity, local ordinance violations, to the appropriate authorities and/or law enforcement; 9. Training subcontractors, volunteers, and/or operations staff to provide customer service to downtown patrons, including but limited to providing parking information, business listings, directions, etc.; 10. Collaborating with appropriate City, County, and community partners to leverage and enhance services to address quality of life issues commensurate with downtown growth, including though not limited to, increased panhandling and homelessness services; 11. Providing expanded clean and safe services during periods of heavy on-street activity; 12. Completing special projects on an as needed basis.
