The Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) is seeking to establish one or more Special Education Services contracts with Developmental Day Centers (DDC) licensed by DHHS Division of Child Development and Early Education (DCDEE). Centers must be located within the district lines of the Wake County Public School System in order to provide School System transportation to/from the center. The purpose of the contracted services is to provide special education and related services to children with disabilities ages 3 to 5 and, if the DCDEE license permits, to school-age children. The children meet the criteria for one or more of the 14 disability conditions, and their placement at a DDC is based on educational needs. The DDC is determined to be the students’ least restrictive environment by a School System IEP team
