The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary for the turn-key completion of the project. Site Preparation • The Contractor shall clean and remove all debris and vegetation buildup, including behind all existing concrete parking bumpers. • Remove all cinder blocks, stone, and curbing surrounding the trees within the parking lot. Parking Bumpers • Remove and reposition seventy-nine (79) existing concrete parking bumpers. Install new rebar as needed to ensure proper placement and alignment of parking spaces. • Furnish and install new bumpers as required to accommodate newly created parking spaces, including one (1) replacement bumper to match existing bumpers. • All bumpers shall be pressure washed and painted yellow using approved thermoplastic or traffic grade paint. Concrete Curbing • Remove and install new concrete curbing around one existing landscape bed, matching the existing height and profile. • Form and install new concrete curbing where railroad ties were removed, ensuring the new curbing follows the current curvature. Asphalt Milling and Paving • Mill approximately 1.5 - 2 inches of the existing asphalt surface over the entire area of approximately 29,700 square feet (Sqft). • Milled material may be placed on-site as indicated in the provided diagram below. • Grade and level new parking areas as shown in the diagrams below to create and pave additional parking spaces. All required site preparation and grading shall be the Contractor’s responsibility. • Prior to paving, clean all milled surfaces and apply a tack coat (emulsion) to ensure proper bonding with the new asphalt. • Install new hot-mix asphalt overlay with a compacted thickness of approximately 1.5 – 2 inches, using an appropriate mix design. • Ensure proper slopes for drainage away from existing structures and smooth transitions to adjacent surfaces (examples include brick sidewalks, steps, etc..). • Tie-ins shall be installed to existing structures as necessary. • When paving around the existing trees, the Contractor shall maintain a safe distance from all visible roots to prevent damage. No curbing will be replaced in these areas. Pavement Markings • After paving, restripe all parking spaces and other existing or new pavement markings using approved thermoplastic or traffic grade paint. • All existing parking spaces are nine-foot (9’) wide
