Specifications include, but are not limited to: PURPOSE: The purpose of the study is to determine if realistic, alternative methods exist to organize and provide fire services with increased effectiveness, coordination, cost efficiencies, economies of scale and a more consistent level of service countywide. The consultant will conduct a review of the current fire delivery system. The study shall include consideration of partial, functional or full consolidation, regional partnerships, and shall include delivery models of fire suppression. At a minimum, this evaluation will make recommendations that: Enhance firefighter safety Enhance cost control and containment of mobile fire equipment and fixed fire building locations Increase efficiency Increase effectiveness Identify alternative methods to meet the Countys needs Coordinate and optimize the use of resources to eliminate duplication of services (fixed and mobile assets) Standardize services and programs offered to the communities to provide a consistent level of service countywide Provide consistent taxation of property owners countywide.
