The Asheville City School district is comprised of seven schools, five elementary, one middle, and one high school. The district is following a model for secure entrances that was previously developed and wishes to continue this at another school. The specific school is being withheld currently as a safety precaution. Services provided by the firm or individual must include, but are not limited to: • Architectural design as well as mechanical, electrical, and structural engineering design for a three-tiered, secure entrance. • Development of a plan to incorporate the entrance into the current school footprint or build it externally. • Analysis of the life safety plan for the school to ensure egress is not affected. • Develop locations for door access controls and cameras related to the entrance. • Schematic design, design development, and construction documents for the project. • Bid administration. • Construction administration. • Compilation of closeout documents.
